Dena Freedman-Muchnick, M.S., CCC-SLP, CLC is passionate for pushing her professional boundaries by exploring uncharted areas. As a clinician she has seen how communication impacts everyday life and she hopes her practice gives a voice to anyone who seeks to live life without limitations.

Dena is an ASHA certified, Florida and California licensed, Speech Language Pathologist for Pediatric and Adults specializing in Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders (OMDs), Tethered Oral Tissues (TOTS), Voice and Swallowing. 

Dena holds a Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology and has maintained a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) for 24 years. 

Dena is a long standing member of the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM) as well as an active member of several LGBTQIA+ organizations, including the Transplaining Patreon group where she remains on top of her gender cultural competency through training.

Dena lives with her talented husband who is a renowned professional singer and the founder of Vocal Virtuosos, two teenage "babies" and four doodle fur babies. She earned a Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University in 2000. Prior to that, she earned a Dual Bachelor's Degree in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) in 1997.

Dena is a classically trained singer/vocalist, and has always been passionate about utilizing her vocal training combined with her clinical skills to provide voice therapy in the areas of vocal pathology, voice disorders, vocal rehabilitation, and voice modifcation/feminization. Her specialized training and experience in the areas of swallowing and orofacial function has led her to expand her practice to provide specific Voice Therapy for professional singers as well.

In her free time, Dena enjoys visiting local farmer's markets, practicing yoga, cooking organic gluten/dairy free meals, harmonizing to broadway music with her husband and daughter, thrift shopping, traveling and chasing the most beautiful sunsets.
